Body by Ahdi is a home-like independent fitness studio owned by local Clarkstonite, Ahdi Dasuqi. Founded on the principles of community, collaboration, commitment and fun. Body by Ahdi strives to provide clients with the power to reach their optimal well-being through open communication, meaningful acknowledgment and the ability to put your body into action. Our mission is to empower you by creating fulfillment and balance through fitness. Who are you? Bring it.

Ahdi’s Story
Ahdi started as a trainer driving anywhere to train anybody, bringing with him the simplest of tools- a bucket, a stick, and a basketball full of sand- and his own personal dedication. He failed his first personal training certification by one point, but considered that missed point the most valuable because it enabled him to realize that to ensure a client’s well-being would take more than a weekend. It was going to take a proven education, dedicated time, repetition and mastered skill. Ahdi committed to a yearlong program at the National Personal Training Institute to earn his certification and then joined VIP fitness; where he trained for four years before making the move to be his own/operate. He came on board Encore Pilates with the purpose of spending a year learning and then becoming owner. In January of 2016, the business transitioned smoothly to Body by Ahdi, maintaining the equipment Pilates and evolving to include more personal training, weight training and boot camps.

Environment
Tucked into an alley behind Clarkston’s Main Street, our unassuming, light-filled space with true brick and mortar exposed walls and hardwood floors provides a largely private ambiance to motivate Body by Ahdi clients to work on their own foundations and get the job done.

Ahdi Dasuqi
Experiencing his dream of serving fitness to Clarkston’s best!
Pilates is all about achieving fulfillment and balance. It is amazing what your body can do when you put your mind to it. My goal is to help clients acquire balanced muscle development, to be in control of every movement, and to release tension. Ultimately, listening to out body and respecting its strengths and limitations will help to achieve things once deemed impossible.
Janel Sadowski
Janel has incorporated fitness into her life for years. It wasn't until her daughters, Makenna and Myah became older that she decided to take her love of fitness further and become an instructor. Initially, Janel decided to take Barre training until she realized everyone isn't meant for such intense workouts. She wanted to be able to help everyone; including both the "fitness junkies" and the aging generation that are looking to stay mobile. At the same time, she wished to encourage others to live a healthy, active lifestyle. So, Janel chose to get certified in machine Pilates. This way, she could impact a variety of different lives through Pilates.

Jennifer Freeborough
Jennifer has worked in a corporate environment for 20 years. Fitness has always been a part of Jennifer's life. Wanting to try something new she found Pilates and has been actively involved ever since. Jennifer has completed her Stott Reformer and Mat training and has also completed her Barre training, TRX and PiYo certification. She loves the challenges and overall wellness that it brings and is committed to giving her clients a great workout and enjoys actively participating. Jennifer currently lives on Williams Lake where she enjoys water, gardening and running. She is also a master gardener and loves her 3 rescue cats and the newest addition, a rescue dog.
